Self-pay patients

You do not need insurance to see Dr Harinarayanan. A consultation can be booked directly, and a second opinion needs no referral. If treatment follows, the hospital or GenesisCare will give you a written quotation first.

Common questions

Who bills for treatment?

Consultation fees are set by Dr Harinarayanan. Radiotherapy, chemotherapy and scans are billed by the hospital or by GenesisCare, who deliver them. You will be given the costs before anything is booked, so there are no surprises.

Which insurers recognise him?

Aetna, Aviva, AXA PPP, Bupa, Cigna, Healix, Vitality, WPA. If your insurer is not listed, ask; recognition with other insurers is being confirmed. Insured patients usually need a GP or consultant referral and a pre-authorisation number from their insurer before the first appointment.

Can I pay for myself?

You can pay for yourself. Self-pay patients are welcome for consultations, second opinions and treatment. Payment terms for treatment courses are set by the hospital or GenesisCare and explained before you start.

What does MR-Linac SABR cost?

It depends on the number of sites treated and the number of sessions. GenesisCare, who deliver it, will give you a written quotation before treatment. Dr Harinarayanan will tell you at the consultation whether it is likely to be suitable, so you are not quoting for something you do not need.
